WELCOME

Ghanaian High-Tech Women(GHW) ,a non profit organisation offers a broad range of technology-related services that aim to allow all people mostly girls in the community to take advantage of the educational and economic opportunities created by ICT. Currently, the services we provide are :

Cisco Networking Academy / ICT Learning Center

The Cisco Gender Networking Academy program's purpose is two-fold: to address the growing nationwide shortage of skilled Information Technology specialists and bridge the gender digital gap in Ghana. Currently, courses being offered are

  • HP IT Essentials
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Web Design
  • International Computer Driving License (ICDL)

The academy gives priority to Ghanaian Youth especially females

Social Enterprise: Technology for Women in Business

GHW is also focused on social enterprises that use technology as a tool to create business solutions to community problems and issues. We do this through our

  • Small Business Center
  • IT Consulting, Networking and Multimedia business
  • Community Technology Center
  • Tech Shop & office rental

Support

There are various ways to contribute to GHW with:

  • human resources

  •  financial aid,

  •  in-kind (equipment) donations,

  •  knowledge, with outreach assistance, and

  •  logistical services

Being a sponsor increases awareness of your organization's commitment to technology leadership, raises your organization's profile among successful women in technology, and enhances your company's efforts to support women professionals in technology. It also acts as a recruitment and retention tool targeting GHW members and provides regular access to customers, potential clients, and employees.

President Bush highlights Cisco Networking Academy Program in Radio Address...

Following his recent visit to the Cisco Systems San Jose Campus, President George W. Bush highlighted Cisco Systems and the Networking Academy program in his weekly radio address, as he announced his American Competiveness Initiative.President Bush discussed how  Cisco and the Networking Academy program are preparing the next generation for the high-tech jobs of tomorrow, while helping to ensure the competiveness of America in the world economy.
